Uday is the Founder & Director of AI Policy Labs and Co-Founder and Executive President of Global Policy Insights, a centrist Policy think tank. He combines leadership and experience in technology and policy with a deep interest and understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on policy and governance. He holds a Masters in Computer Science from Oxfordbrookes University, UK and a Bachelors in Computer Technology from Nagpur University, India. He will be pursuing a Development, Technology and Innovation MPA from University College London(UCL) later this year.
Uday is passionate about AI and has keen interest in utilising AI for public goods, policy and governance around AI. He setup AI Policy Labs with the theme of AI for Public Goods and Social Good.
He also heads the Commonwealth Project at GPI as the Project Director. First event in the Commonwealth that Uday executed almost single handedly in 2018 December was mentioned in the UK Parliamentary Question Hour on International Trade.
Founder & Director
Swati is currently heading the programmes and partnerships at the AI Policy Labs. Prior to joining here, Swati has worked at United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). She was the lead analyst for all economic and policy matters related to Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) & New Development Bank (NDB) at the Multilateral Institutions Division of Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Swati has notable experience of working on international policy issues including on finance, climate change and sustainable development. She has been instrumental in forming government views and represented at various international negotiations including the UNFCCC, Montreal Protocol and the meetings of the Board of MDBs. She is an economist by background and is also a member of the Government Blockchain Association. Swati has co-authored climate change and energy chapter at the Economic Survey of India and has published numerous articles online. She was awarded fellowship by the Netherlands Government in 2015 to pursue executive programme on climate policy and clean energy.
Bhanu is the Founder & CEO of Green Hats Innovation Labs. He is an alumni of LBS Sloan Fellow and TEDMED Research Scholar. Prior to starting his own organisation Bhanu has had years of experience with Cisco Systems and Nokia Corp.
Sreeram is an EPSRC funded PhD scholar at University of Exeter, working on cost-effective manufacturing techniques of Perovskite solar cells. Prior to that he received Commonwealth Shared Scholarship from DFID (Department for International Federation), UK, for pursuing his Masters in Renewable Energy engineering. He also holds a B-Tech degree from CUSAT in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He has worked with various startups and NGOs in the clean energy sector.
Jiaqian is a postgraduate student of MA public policy at King's College London and participated in a number of urban safety policy research activities during her undergraduate period. Research interests include international relations and democratic policy.
Mohammed is currently pursuing an MA in Public Policy at King's College London. Prior to this he worked in events management, with an Undergraduate degree from the University of Warwick in Ancient History and Classics. He has a particular interest in AI and future technology policy management
Zhuohong is currently studying MA in Public Policy at King’s College London, undertaking subjects such as policy process, political economy and quantitative methods. He is interested in economic development, game theory and artificial intelligence. He has previously interned with government of Guangdong Province in China.
